Hello, we’re the Vegan Nutrition Store, We are an B2C e-commerce platform (based in the UK) for vegan veterans and the plant-curious alike, offering hard-to-find products all in one place and at affordable prices, conveniently delivering them direct to your door (UK only). From convenience goods to raw ingredients, healthy treats to the widest range of tempeh in the UK, we source innovative, gourmet products that make plant based living easy and delicious. We are the only plant based dedicated store that ships chilled, frozen and ambient food direct to customers. We use our thermal boxes, ice packs and packaging to keep the product chilled.

We pride ourselves in ensuring that from production to packaging the food you are enjoying is good; for the animals, for the planet, for mind, body and soul.

The plant-based living trend is exploding - veganism has risen by 360% in the past 10 years and over a quarter of Brits are cutting back on meat consumption. And it’s not just a food fad on the fringes, it is a mainstream lifestyle change that is here to stay. Consumers now want to source protein from plant based sources and feel much better about having less of an impact on the animals and planet. With plant based living rising so much the demand for unique products becomes even higher, this is where our online store comes in and becomes a haven for plant based living.

We are dynamic and fast paced business with multiple revenue streams – we work with leading online discounter Groupon. Offering tailored deals such as hampers & bundles. In January, we launched our official Veganuary hamper on Groupon and our online store. Groupon generates between 1,300 to 1,700 USD additional revenue per month.

Wide range of Product: Range of own branded products from our sister brand (Plant Power®). This won’t be sold in the deal due to this being part of my reason for selling, however products will be sold to the owners at a very competitive rate (to be agreed), plus support on promotions.

Unique range of products – we work hard to find the best up and coming and also respected plant based brands in the UK and work closely with them. We also have our own range of nut roasts and wellingtons which will be part of the sale.

Strong Supplier Relationships: - Couriers Significantly cheaper rates than our competitors which means we have higher margins - Packaging Branded boxes that showcase our brand and values – significantly cheaper pricing due to supplier relationship. Thermal bags and ice packs also at a heavily discounted rate. - Products better margins, better terms. Over 90% of suppliers on 15 – 30 day terms.

Marketing Strategy; We have a marketing strategy that has delivered us a high engaging brand that customers love! Through our online campaigns, we have a reputation across the industry as a major disruptor and contributor to plant based living.

Digital Marketing; Google Adwords and partner search engines + Google Shopping. Our digital marketing campaigns are extremely successful. We are very efficient with how we bid and have some of the lowest CPC and highest CTR in the industry. Over 85% of our traffic comes through working closely with google and is part of the reason the store has been successful.

Over 5 million people have searched for the term veganism this year and other popular search terms such as buy vegan food online are equally as high. We look very closely at the analytics to make sure we have the most cost effective methods. This helps us increase our net profit %.

We also have a range of influencers and bloggers we work with to promote our brand. We use them for product giveaways, traffic driving campaigns and seasonal sales etc. Lots of people want to work with us as we are seen as an ethical company that do good. Personal Contribution & Supply Agreement;

The reason for selling the store is to focus on my other food brand which is seeing quick growth and I can’t manage both of them unfortunately (Big regret - I wish I could do both). My food brand which supplies products to the online store, will continue to supply the online store as part of the agreement, the products will be offered at a extremely discounted price. I would also like to use the online store for trialling new products which will benefit the new owners massively. I will offer 5 days of my services for free to hand over everything. Also, I am very happy to help if the new owners have any issues whether it be customer service, marketing or web design. I want to see this brand grow.

What work have you put into the store?

I have put blood, sweat and tears into this website and to make this brand what it is! We spent two months building the website and testing it before we were happy to soft launch.

The website has significantly increased functionality;

  • New custom app created so customers have to add in their postcode at checkout to see if we can deliver. This is due to the food we deliver being chilled. This saves 5+ hours a week in refunds and back and forth communication with customers.
  • Date picker. On the back end of the website you can deliver to the customer on the requested day.
  • Automated basket counter so customers can see how much they have to spend for free delivery. Also helps to spend more.
  • Bundle app so it takes out the correct inventory for any bundles you build.
  • Extremely user friendly due to A/B testing – this has resulted in increased conversion and average order value M.O.M.

We have also developed a range of products, have great relationships with suppliers and an ever-growing customer database. This grows by 10 – 30 customers per day.

This is the online store if you are looking to enter the plant based market! We still believe it is more advanced than any other rivals websites.
