As two ex-athletes and current fitness enthusiasts, we decided to start a fitness based company in 2015. Our primary focus was to create a training company with an emphasis on strength, speed and agility so we looked into options to generate revenue to start our venture. With our backgrounds in logistics and business operations, specifically garment printing, we created an overall company logo for Belacon Training along with a female focused apparel line called Buns & Barbells. The female line was an instant hit and with such excitement over the brand, we decided to focus on the apparel. As we grew, we involved people to join the company as ambassadors or athletes which gave them the ability to spread the brand and offer their own motivation, as well as training and dieting programs within our company. Although this company is not our primary jobs, through constant engagement, line expansions, and product development we grew the company to the level of success we didn’t think possible in only a few years.
The reason of selling this business
We are deciding to sell the company to the most qualified buyer to continue what we’ve built, because we are currently working business professionals and in the process of another venture that has made our time limited in terms of continuing to develop the brand. This has nothing to do with declines in terms of sales, rather just limited in terms of time available to grow the company in the ways we desire, especially because the company is not our primary careers. We’ve continued to rebrand and adapt with the industry as it has changed these 3 years and during that time both of us (owners) have had several other opportunities arise that has made continuing to develop the company as we envisioned more difficult. By the end of 2018, both of us decided to focus on current/new endeavors and open up the doors to another passionate buyer to continue the growth of the company. growth potential is there for this company and with the right buyer, this already known brand within the fitness industry, can be a prominent figure in the fitness/lifestyle world for years to come. What's involved in running this business
This business model is primarily done through eCommerce on the company website and setting up booths at various events. We do not own any printing equipment so we do small batch prints through local screen print vendors for new designs/collections and launch the products with a specific theme. The inventory is added on the website with the respected product on the website and is fulfilled logistically through Shopify. You can adjust your shipping preferences and settings through Shopify and it will rate shop the prices for you to find the optimal and desired shipping for the item the customer purchases. We decide to replenish the inventory levels of the products based off demand and overall interest. By doing this, we try to limit the inventory levels and only keep on hand what is needed. The costs and abilities to print on demand would be much easier if the buyer had their own screen printing capabilities. Other items such as lifting gear, hats and other accessories are all done through vendors in small batch quantities. These current vendors will be provided with the sale so the working relationship for the company products can continue. While the company has made most of the sales online through the website, we have also printed larger batches of hand-picked designs/garments and set up booths at expos and lifting events to acquire sales and new business acquisitions as well. The company uses square reader for all sales in person, which will be provided with the sale. Along with those two avenues of sale, the company has also explored some wholesale deals with gyms and supplement shops to resale the branded products. While running the everyday business and fulfilling orders quickly, you must also stay very active on social media, whereas this is our primary source of marketing. Mass emails with new launches, sales, discounts, etc. should be sent weekly as well.

I will help make this transition as smooth as possible to help give direction on how to operate the company currently and set the buyer up for success to grow the company and continue operations as they see fit. This can take as long as needed as I am still passionate about what we created and want it to succeed moving forward.
Product photosI will provide all product photos for current items for sale and any lifestyle photos from different photoshoots that can be used on social media, emails or the website. They will be transferred via dropbox or google drive.
How to grow this business
We would reintroduce our Ambassador/Affiliate program and restructure its functionality. Through that process we would continue spreading the brand and utilize these team members to work more booths at large scale expos across the country. We would also broaden our scope by working in more wholesale options with gyms, supplement shops, tattoo shops and other apparel retail locations to expand our products to more brick and mortar locations across the country. The line would be expanded on a continuous basis to stay with the trends and hopefully start new ones. While we would expand the lines, we would utilize other alternative channels to sell the product with the primary channel being Amazon.
Skills to have
Having a knowledge of the apparel industry and garment printing would be to a great advantage. If the buyer can actually print/manufacture the apparel in house, they could limit a lot of outsourced cost. Being able to manage/develop the website will help with functionality and implementing sales tactics that could help reduce cost as well as create impulse purchases.
