Business Story

Why this business was started

I started [PRIVATE INFO] as I always loved fashion and wanted to have my own online fashion business. After working for several retail companies decided to open my own. I have been in retail for 20 years and wanted to try and set up a good business selling casual but good quality products.

The reason of selling this business

Do not have more funds to continue. I have spent and invested close to £100,000 and set up the business as it is so if anyone buys the website it will get a great business. Trademark also applied and approved last year. Could also pass details of suppliers and wholesalers. Dropshippers have stock like Adidas, Nike, Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Love Moschino, Emporio Armani, Guess, Skechers, Hush Pupppies, Crocs, [REDACTED] popular and good stock to sell.

What's involved in running this business

Primarily marketing and dealing with customer queries, also placing orders and overseeing the deliveries. You will need to import new stock from the dropshippers as and when you want and you will need to buy stock from suppliers and wholesalers of which I can give the details.

This business was founded: almost 5 years ago
Time to run this business: approximately 40 hours per week

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

Investment is needed to grow the business and get more stock, I would advise to slowly but surely move from dropshipping to own stock as it gives more profit margin. At the moment I had 80-20 dropshipping. All the API are set up for the Dropshippers so you dont need to do anything except start trading, obviously you will not get my stock unless you would like to buy it, otherwise you would start with around 2500 products form dropshippers. So really an easy way to start trading immediately.

    Skills to have

Not really, just need to learn about the dropshippers way of working, shipping costs and what stock is there.

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

    Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.
