I first created this store after watching a Shark Tank episode of a man who launched a brand for eyewear specifically designed to block blue light rays at work, school or leisure. I did some research and saw that all the brands that were launching a similar line of these glasses were at a very high price point, targeting a mid-high level income bracket.
I knew there was opportunity to sell chic and fashionable glasses with the same feature at a much more reasonable price. I have had a few sales and found success with Google Adwords, but do not have the bandwidth to give this the full time and devotion it deserves.
There is absolutely an opportunity to find success here with the right strategy. Blue light blocking glasses are trending and at the price point being offered on this site, customers can buy more than 1 pair without breaking the bank.
How can the future owner improve the business?
The legwork will really be in social posts, and building a following through creative photos or videos of the glasses. I think it can also take off with the help of a few influencers. Also implementing a bundle feature for a discount on the site would be beneficial since the price point is enticing enough for more than one purchase.
What work have you put into the store?
I have secured a domain, built out a catalog, developed a logo and worked on store branding, and launched Social Media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
How many hours does it take to run this business per week?
