General description

Boru Luxury is a men's accessories dropshipping store selling bead bracelets and cufflinks. It was created as an experiment as I've wanted to start a dropshipping business online for years having read thousands of articles online about it. In June 2018 I finally decided that it was time to try it out. I spent the first few weeks tweaking the site and getting it optimized for conversions and reducing bounce rates. The next week was spent learning FB advertising and the past week has been spent making money! The reason that I'm selling the site is that I've now proved the concept for myself that this does infact work and now I'm looking to start again with a niche that I'm interested in. Fashion is not something that I feel I have any kind of passion for (I would happily go the Homer Simpson route of having multiple of the same outfit in the wardrobe!) and I believe that I am not the right person to take this forward.

Why should someone buy this store?

Even for someone who isn't fashion conscious, I am actually able to make this work. Someone with an interest in this area, and with social media nous and know-how could extract the considerable potential from this. I spent the first few weeks trying to sell to India and developing countries without even realising so I am quite clearly not that guy.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Really very easily. I have only tried FB advertising for this site and I really learned as I went. 1. This store could explode if you recruit influencers with 5-10k followers and good engagement. Get 2 or 3 shoutouts and watch the orders fly in. 2. Grow the social media side of the business. I have huge engagement on some images and they have driven lots of targetted traffic to the site. If you can grow the instagram organically you can profit without paid advertisement. 3. Optimize the site for SEO. I have not even looked at Google for advertising. Everything has come through FB ads.

What work have you put into the store?

I've built the store from nothing, created the Facebook and Instagram page, added products, edited the pictures and descriptions to create a reputable looking site while also keeping the load times below 3 seconds in order to avoid bounces. I've optimized the site for conversions by adding social proof, cart recoveries and created a sense of urgency to purchase.
