Why this business was started

I have a background in digital advertising helping brands I don't own grow and I was starting to feel like I should use my skills to create assets for myself. Owning an eCommerce store would be a great way to get revenue separate from my day job. I started store with the idea of long-term management but once revenue started to quickly scale from $0 to over $4K per month in Dec 2018 & January 2019 I decided that day to day management wasn't for me but that building & selling brands was more of what I was good at.

The reason of selling this business

As I continued to build the store and grow results I started to realize that I didn't enjoy anything about dropshipping besides the advertising. Managing customer engagement, fulfilling orders with suppliers was something I didn't like doing it. For the next owner they should be somebody who enjoys managing customer relationships and has the time for fulfilling orders. I already have a digital marketing agency I work on and other projects i was trying to launch but this store kept dominating my time. Which is why I wanted to move it on to somebody else.

What's involved in running this business

Fulfilling customer orders and ordering from suppliers is a big part of this. If you can automate this process (something I never got around to doing) it will save you countless hours of work. The other big aspect is marketing strategy and advertising optimizations, without ads it is hard to make dropshipping work. - Running Facebook/Instagram ads with testing plan for creative and promo's - Fulfilling and tracking orders with supplier - Answering customer emails, comments, and replies on social/email - Updating tracking information and sending product emails - Making it easy for customers to leave reviews

    Skills to have

    • Social Media Advertising: Facebook Ads are huge source of revenue for this store and can easily scale up once you have right ad copy, product photo's, and targeting setup. I was able to scale this to $4K in revenue with FB Ads shortly after setting up store and optimizing media buy would be shortcut to increasing profits.
