Why this business was started

I started BrowsPop because of my love for beauty products and for my knowledge that there was a gap in the market for at-home beauty gadgets. We started this business right before the global COVID lockdown hit, and we knew it was the prefect time to start this online store, as women would be able to maintain their beauty routines from the comfort of their own homes.

We wanted to completely revolutionize the way women beautify themselves. Salons are too expensive, and working women or new moms do not always have the time to make frequent trips to the salon with their hectic schedules. We decided that there had to be a better way for people to do their brows, give themselves a facial, and pamper their faces without having to spend a lot of money or go through the pain that comes with salon services, and to simply save time and do it themselves.

As the lockdown eases up, we found that customers are still interested in the Precision Brows Pen despite opening up of salons as they find the utility in the portability and the amount of time saved. In a survey sent out to our subscribers, woman have actually bought the product for males as well giving us an indication that there is another target group out there BrowsPop could sell to.

The reason of selling this business

I believe this is the right time to sell BrowsPop. Traction is building and there is interest. Whenever people hear about the product, they say "wow, that's so cool!" However, I do not have the knowledge to scale this business and believe someone else who has been doing e-commerce would give BrowsPop the direction it needs. I do not have the knowledge to further market the product through google ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest, etc...I have always been interested in learning new skills and starting new projects. It is time for me to move on and learn more about the Metaverse and Crypto space. I am ready to start a new chapter in my life as I start to make a family with my first born to be due. I do not have the time to continue so I believe the right buyer will know how to scale this business and improve profitability, as we already have some great numbers.

What's involved in running this business

My personal tasks involve new strategies for growing this business, researching new marketing methods and managing my global team (customer service & logistics/fulfillment).

We generate the bulk of our traffic and revenue using Facebook and Instagram Ads. We maintain customer relations through our loyalty program, social media and email/SMS campaigns. We are constantly fine-tuning our funnel with retargeting ads and customized email flows through Klaviyo. We also do some influencer marketing, generate some great content through that, and we have a lot of fun just trying new things in this space!

Our team handles all the orders, customer service, and operations of the business. Everything is automated in the back-end. Your main focus will be in scaling the business and marketing.

Due to the recent iOS changes, and volatility of the market with Covid-19, our ROAS has been a little lower. However, we have 2 years of data collected and a fully targeted audience, which will easily allow this store to reach its original numbers. We believe the right buyer will have experience and ways of trimming costs and increasing Average Order Value, as there is so much potential for increased profitability. For the first 7 days, I will help the new owner fulfill orders and help with the customer service emails so the new owner will understand our work flow.

    BrowsPop's Precision Brows Pen is the flagship product. Customer's find the brows pen unique and a much higher quality than the competitors (we offer replaceable blades, a full metal body giving a luxurious feel, and waterproof). With a subscriber list of more than 10,000 emails, 3000 SMS subscribers, and over 9000 orders, we find that engaging with this existing community will boost revenue from repeat customers. For the next 5 years, there are many avenues of growth that can be a focus for the new owner. BrowsPop is currently only offered online and placing the product in retail stores would be the next frontier or wholesale distribution. The Brows Pop product could also be spun as a men's version used for ear hairs, nostril hairs, and unibrows! The marketing angles are endless! A focus on Tik Tok ads, Google Ads, Search Ads, and Pinterest ads would further boost revenue as these methods have not been tried nor tested yet.
