Why this business was started

This is a store selling wine accessories, wine-themed apparel and jewelry. It has been created and is owned by a single person (me). I have worked in the wine industry for many years and know wine consumers well. It all started with a simple idea of a product which no one was selling yet. After talking to a supplier who was able to produce it with a large profit margin, I tested the product's acceptance by opening this Shopify store. That specific product (a jewelry item) quickly took off and after a few months the store had already sold over 20K units. In the meantime, it has made a name for itself and sold many other wine-themed items such as shirts, necklaces, earrings, bottle openers, etc. It is a combination of dropshipping and Print On Demand store, but can easily be adapted to a brick-and-mortar store, if needed.

The reason of selling this business

I am selling this store because I have other Shopify stores that I need to focus on and I just don't have the time to dedicate my full attention to all of them. I started growing this store in July 2017 from scratch and it did over 300K in sales last year, with a conversion rate of close to 8% (see screenshot). This year sales are lower because in the meantime I tapped into other markets and created other stores to serve those markets. However, the wine niche has definitely great potential. As an example, you can take a look at the two images showing a snapshot of a Facebook ad campaign I ran for two different winning products - one is the jewelry item mentioned above, the other an apparel item. Those two products alone generated well over $100K in net profit.
