Why this business was started

I have bought & sold a number businesses over the years, I enjoy the challenge of buying run-down businesses and turning them into a success. I purchased this business approx 4 yrs ago, just after it started, it had no profit and was running at a loss. Being my first On-Line business, I just learned through trial & error as I went along. First step was to create a new website and have since then upgraded to a much faster website that automatically optimises all new content to keep it up to top speed. I engaged an Ecommerce Business Coach who helped tremendously with Facebook & Instagram advertising, setting up my Klavio email system as well as streamlining my website efficiency. The Business is in the Top 1% of Shopify Stores worldwide. I have really enjoyed building this business into the success it is today but feel it is time to hand it over to the next generation.

I would love to see this business continue its phenomenal growth with an energetic person or couple as it has huge potential for growth. The best part of an OnLine business such as this one is that it can be operated from any location in australia as long it is near a Post Office so it is a real Lifestyle business.

What's involved in running this business

  • The business is operated from my home office and a storeroom the size of 3-car garage area wich is set up with a 2nd computer and work/packing bench for my employee, Lois.
  • Lois handles all order packing, postage, stock monitoring and product re-ordering from our Suppliers.
  • Emails are set up in Klavio so that they automatically go out to people who: abandon their shopping cart, make a purchase, 30 days after they make a purchase, 90 days after they make a purchase (if they haven't made another purchase). I handle the following:
  • Choose & upload new products
  • Upload Social Media posts through the bulk Media posting App
  • Upload Facebook Advertisements
  • Google Advertisements are fairly set-and-forget. Just need a quick look over once per month
