General description

This listing is an opportunity to purchase a whole running business, Domain name The shopify store ebay store facebook page Subscriber list apporx $3000 worth of business inventory.

This business was established September 2016. It is currently owned by a UK limited company Cafe Racer Parts UK ltd. It has generated sales of over $105,000 USD (£80,000 GBP) since September 2016 as can be proven by business accounts. Also see pictures attached

I started the business after I was looking to turn an old motorcycle (a honda CB125) into a "cafe racer" style bike. This included modifying the bikes appearance and adding new style parts to give it the cafe racer appearance which is a popular style among the custom bike scene. I struggled to find the parts I required on any websites so I had to search quite hard to find what I needed. After realising the demand for these items I realised that I could sell the items I had sourced for a profit. This was done via ebay and a shopify website. I made a simple shopify store and listings and the sales started immediately.

The first year of business generated nearly £50,000 GBP in turnover and nearly £10,000 GBP gross profit as can be seen in the pictures above. The majority of the sales come from the ebay store which will be included within the sale. The remaining sales were from the shopify store. The business has a social media account on facebook which is included in the sale and has around 2500 likes and is growing daily despite my lack of continuous marketing/posting on social media platforms. The demographic is very responsive to posts and sponsored posts gain quite alot of attention. The business would benefit from an instagram account and maybe a twitter but this has not yet been explored.

I had little experience in online businesses before this and the business would benefit greatly from someone with experience and who is looking to increase sales via a more active email marketing effort and possibly expanding into Amazon sales.

The business currently holds the stock of each item and ships out each order, however it could be adapted into a dropship style with ease. The business requires very little time, only 1 hour a day for responding to emails and packing orders. The return on investment for time spent is very high.

The business is being sold due to a lack of time to maintain and grow the business further due to other commitments. The business can easily be grown from other marketing efforts or an increase in products as the suppliers have many other items within the niche which have not yet been marketed to potential buyers through the website to test their sales effectiveness.

Sales over the last year have been lower than the first year due to not being able to focus solely on this project as storage space and time has become limited due to other business commitments. I am looking to sell the business to someone who is looking to carry on running it as it is or willing to push further with marketing and SEO to increase sales, as it has so much more potential but I do not have the time or skills to do this as my other business interests are not internet based.

Why should someone buy this store?

This is a ready to go online business which can generate sales from the word go, earning you money even while you sleep. Sales are mainly UK based but we get many orders from all parts of the world each months through our website and ebay store

How can the future owner improve the business?

I believe that the future owner (YOU!) should test different advertising platforms. Free traffic is something that should definitely be looked at more, with effort towards blogs and free information which would bring in extra organic traffic . There are a large growing amount of influencers and fans of cafe racers on Instagram which I believe could easily be capitalised on.

What work have you put into the store?

The products have been hand picked and all have been sample tested to see that consumers want them. All of the chosen stock sells each month so the hard part has been done, the demand is there and the customers come to you. The store is simply running on autopilot which can be either continued to run this way or someone with a little time can really make a go of this and boost sales easily The store has been SEO optimised and gets traffic also from adwords. The domain name is perfectly targeted for the niche and helps look like an authority within the niche due to this. A growing email database has been collected and is ready to be marketed Shipping companies have already been tried and tested and I have found the best, and cheapest option with a simple automation which uploads all orders instantly, so all you need to do is print and pack

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

I would look to start creating content on the website in a blog format. I would make how to videos and blogs on how to transform a bike to a cafe racer. How to information on basic bike maintenance etc. This would create better SEO and organic traffic to the website. I would look at expanding the range of products for the website and ebay store, either along the same line of the niche or even broadening out into popular consumable products for the bike industry

    Skills to have

A basic understanding of online business would be very advantageous Any knowledge of the niche would be useful but not needed
