Why this business was started
My wife is an amateur photographer and we have tremendous skills in online marketing and sales and wanted to try our hand selling physical products. We were also looking to add additional income and build a store that would support that goal.
The store has done very, very well and has amazing upside potential we just don't have the time any longer to focus on it.
We have been very passionate about photography gear and helping photographers improve their craft.
The reason of selling this business
This business started off very well in 2016 and continued so deep into 2018. Some things changed with Facebook and our costs began to rise. We identified a need for more content i.e. video but couldn't find a reliable video solution. We don't have the time to focus on this particular store as we once did.
What's involved in running this business
Business is very systematized. we have spreadsheets for each product, customer service templates for easy response and every aspect has been meticulously systematized making it very easy to operate this store daily.
We use Zendesk for all customer relations and have a solid SOP in place for the most common questions and inquiries.
We have several paid traffic campaigns setup to attract cold buyers, convert those buyers and increase our AOV with upsells. We also have several retargeting campaigns setup to re-engage lost sales and bring back repeat buyers.
