I started Carter Owen a while back because I found some really cool suppliers selling a variety of bags. I liked them because they're based in the States and Canada which means they have good shipping times and it supports local businesses. The Suppliers are linked to the store via an App so fulfilling orders is simply and quick.
The profit margins on the bags are also quite good which is awesome and the prices can be increased to what you want.
The reason of selling this business
Unfortunately life got in the way and I don't have the time to dedicate to the store. I haven't driven any traffic to the store yet, it's just been sitting so I'd like to sell it get it off my hands. Plus I think it's a good business and site so it deserves to be used.
What's involved in running this business
Not much! You'll have to run some ads, and keep up with products that you like. Then all you'll have to do is make sure the orders go through properly. But the app makes the process really easy.

Seller‘s Advice
How to grow this business
I would start to create more relationships with more suppliers across North America (if that's where you want to sell). From there I would also make sure to keep up with trends, styles and popular sales. If you love it, you could always make your own bags to sell along with the others!
Skills to have
I don't think so! Shopify has some great help guides that make things really simple and quite. Some knowledge of Social Media would be helpful so that you can plan out your campaigns and get views. But that's about it. The nice about the suppliers is that the app makes order really easy and you don't need to hold any inventory.
Exchange is the largest and fastest-growing marketplace for Shopify e-commerce stores
Verified listing data
The revenue and traffic data that you see on each listing is pulled directly from its Shopify account. This means that the data has been verified. Exchange reviews and monitors listings for thorough and accurate information.
Secure messaging platform
You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.
Encrypted payment capture
Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.
Take time to inspect the business
Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.
Safe store transfer
When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.
