Why this business was started

Having built and sold a previous e-commerce business I was motivated to start a business and a brand that combined three key pillars I am passionate about. 1. By using reusable cups we can help to reduce and promote the issue of single use plastic 2. Give back to causes and charities by donating $3 from every cup 3. Provide a reasonable profit to make the business viable.

The reason of selling this business

Prior to starting Cause Cups I was partly involved in another business venture. Over time I have become more heavily involved in that business and simply do not have the time available to dedicate to Cause Cups. Something has to give and would love to see someone else take Cause Cups and breath new life into it.

    How to grow this business

    There is an opportunity to build the business via both B2C and B2B channels. Cause Cups has the potential to be a global brand. We have proven the model through injecting a small ad budget to gauge interest and we did one B2B deal with a Recruitment Company who purchased 500 cups and we donated $1500 to their charity of choice called 'Adopt Change'. Adopt Change focus on raising awareness for children's adoption issues.

    All skills required can be learnt. What is required is a passion for giving back and to build a brand and a business that has the potential to change lives. The designs for the Cups were done by a designer using 99designs. The website was produced by an expert Shopify web designer for whom I can provide details.
