Why this business was started

I always wanted to start my own business and during the Corona crisis, the opportunity suddenly arose for me due to reductions in working hours from my employer at the time. In addition, of course, there was a lack of income, which I had to compensate. I then looked intensively into earning opportunities and an online store in times where lockdowns were imposed seemed fitting. I then looked for an industry that interested me myself and so I came across personalized gift items, because I myself had always been looking for them.

The reason of selling this business

I really put a lot of heart and soul into this store and also scaled it to a profitable revenue stream. I used this revenue stream to quit my job and start another business. This second business has developed very well and now eats up all my time as there are employees here as well. Unfortunately, I no longer have time for the online store and would like to give it now to continue the project, for which I personally lack the resources. I have also noticed that in the second company I can bring my skills even better, so I have decided to part with the store.

What's involved in running this business

A large part of the job is managing advertisements. These must be constantly updated and also newly created. Here, the market is constantly changing and new content must always be made. This includes the conception, filming or graphic design, and then the control and optimization of the advertisements. Target groups must also be continuously tested for this purpose.

Furthermore, it is of course the customer support. Here we receive mails from customers, which have to be answered. These are usually only about the shipment status of the delivery, which can be answered easily. Now and then there are complaints, but these are very few. Returns are excluded because these are personalized products. Therefore, no return management is required.

Orders are automatically processed by the supplier integrated in the store and the shipment numbers are stored.
