Why this business was started

Since women are a very affluent target group and most of them are very crazy about handbags, I came up with the idea of ​​opening a handbag shop. I also found a product that solves a problem that almost every woman knows, as large and heavy bags bring stress. I launched my Shopify handbag Store on January 2021 with the Motion Theme.

Most of the sales came from one product. The main product has already been branded. I added two more bags and one of them has been sold also very good. I wanted to brand the second bag as well, but unfortunately I don't have the time.

To the product:

The bag was initially sold for a few months without its own branding. After a few successful months, I decide to brand the bag. I put a lot of time and effort into it until the final product was exactly what I had in mind. Together with my supplier from China and the customer feedback, we optimized and branded the bag according to the customer's ideas. The supplier contact is of course provided. He has been with me since day 1 and gets every product at low prices and good quality and has always been very reliable when it comes to delivery times and returns. The bag was ordered with little effort and sent directly from the supplier in China to the end customer. The delivery time is usually 6-12 working days. So far I have only sold to Germany and haven't tried other countries yet.

All sales came from Facebook marketing alone. I only sold to Germany and havent tried other countries. It was planned to target other countries. It was mostly just test campaigns and it was never really scaled because I don't have the knowledge to do it. Testing new creatives wasn't my thing either. I've only used 3 different creatives so far. The plan was to create more creatives such for example UGC content. In addition, it was planned to expand the advertising channels and to place additional advertising on other channels such as Tiktok and Pinterest and Google. I'm sure someone who knows can scale up the shop.

I have sell ober 7000 bags, the most customer buy 2,3 or 4 bags at once because i give them a little discount code. I recently added two more bags to the range so that the shopping cart value increases. This has had a very positive effect and customers often bought several different bags at once or several colors at once. The shop is turnkey and can be started immediately. The supplier from China will stand by your side and do a reliable job so that you don't have any problems.

The reason of selling this business

Due to private problems I am forced to sell my shop. I don't have the time to deal with the shop more and for example to create new creatives and learn marketing skills. Also, I don't have that much marketing knowledge, so I never really scaled. Sales to date have only been achieved with three different creatives. Also i dont have time to create Content and Advertising for Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Pinterest and Google. I'm sure someone who knows marketing and have good creatives skills or puts in the effort can scale the shop easy.

What's involved in running this business

So far I haven't invested that much time in the shop, so unfortunately I haven't gotten around to scaling it properly. My supplier from China orders and ships the orders. The process is completely automated. The supplier is integrated into the shop via an app and can view the orders independently. He checks the orders once a day and sends an invoice every day. After the bill has been paid, he orders the goods and sends them to the end customer. Everything is completely automated and you should only worry about the marketing.
