Why this business was started

I started this drop shipping business as it's super simple to run in my free time and I found a gap in the market with a winning product which took off immediately as I was looking for a product to solve a problem which I had myself, my toilet brush always filthy, dripping dirty water and hard to clean after use. This product solves that problem for myself, and many others! It's also a product which could be branded beautifully and can continue to add more products to the brand, increasing average order values and retaining existing customers.

What's involved in running this business

This business model is drop shipping, so it's very simple to run with basic drop shipping knowledge. You will need to advertise for the store. I was only using fan pages on Instagram , but you can use TikTok which is growing rapidly, as well as influencers, facebook, Google etc. After that you just have to fulfil the orders, I did this for a couple of minutes every night using an app that automatically fulfils all orders. Minus advertising and fulfilling orders, you will just need to reply to emails and social media comments.

    This store is very scalable as the product is aimed at parents and home owners. To scale this store I would continue to run ads, especially around Q4, as this is the period where most people are in a shopping mood and the period where most businesses make the most revenue. I would also take advantage of the email list of previous customers to remarket new products to them and send out email campaigns regularly. You can also branch into other forms of advertising such as TikTok, Snapchat, facebook Google, Instagram etc, as I was only using fan pages on Instagram, so there is a huge potential to scale further.
