Business Story

Why this business was started

I started making and selling shirts on Merch by Amazon. My music t-shirts were selling very well on Amazon. The shirts were also getting great reviews from Amazon customers who say they love the designs. I decided to turn a collection of my music-themed shirts into a brand, so I opened a Shopify store and called it Classically apparel.

The reason of selling this business

I don't have time to focus on Shopify right now. Other things in my life are taking priority at the moment. I was going to close the store down until Shopify suggested that I sell it. The designs have been vetted by Amazon customers - 90% of designs on this store have sold multiple times on Amazon - some have even sold hundreds of units on Amazon with 0 paid traffic. The key to making this store successful is social media traffic. I just don't have time to invest in social media right now.

What's involved in running this business

The shirts are printed on demand (the shirt gets made when the order is placed) through Printful, which plugs straight into my Shopify store. Not much work is required on your end for the orders. This business requires posting frequently on social media to gain traction.

Running this business for 9 months
Amazon seller who dipped his toes into Shopify for the first time. I love the platform, but just don't have time to focus on both Amazon and Shopify right now. Somebody with strong digital marketing skills could probably blow this store up.
