Why this business was started

To experiment with a new ecomm business. The potential is very great and I am still interested, but moving on to other things for now that must be my priority. CrateSpot was originally intended to be a place to post and sell unique boutique gift ideas like thisiswhyimbroke. It eventually grew based on trends and what was working for us.

The reason of selling this business

I can no longer keep up with the time commitment to research new products, form advertising campaigns and full-fill orders. If it made more money, I would hire someone to do this, but the cash-flow is not high enough to support that at this time. This is a steal at this price!

General description

CrateSpot is a unique gift, gadget and more store featuring many cool gift ideas. The store was started in March 2017 and has grown rapidly. The business model was to keep startup expenses low, so this is currently a full dropshipping store with no inventory overhead. Includes great custom domain with a professionally done logo, premium Shopify theme from themeforest, 265+ email subscribers, Facebook 600+ followers, Twitter & Instagram around 3k followers each. Over 200 products with analytics and substantial testing. Most of our advertising has been through Facebook Ads. However, ads have been turned off for a year now and we are 100% organic.

Dopshipping isn't dead! I'm selling site because of time constraints with other job and my partner left. It's a very good deal for someone that may know what they are doing because it does require some general knowledge (see What's involved in running this business field).

Why should someone buy this store?

If you want to buy into an already aged store with previous product testing, this is for you. Lots of good data. This is priced cheap to go fast. Just the email list of 270 warm leads is very valuable to anyone with marketing experience. This is a steal at this price!

How can the future owner improve the business?

Email campaigns and Instagram Marketing are fields that we lacked on that could be huge for you.

What work have you put into the store?

Everything, there was a lot of custom work done to the themeforest theme on the backend css level. That said, it's a very mold-able site and a great domain name space. The new owner can easily modify it to make it their own, and probably niche down on some of the products!
