Business Story

Why this business was started

I have a lot of pimples and have notice a cheap acne vacuum through Instagram. I thought that it was a good product to sell if it was unique, and different compared to the other brands. It clearly was since the vacuum has more features and is a lot stronger then the ones going viral! The fact of the matter was, people everywhere are looking for a cheap method to get clear skin. The vacuum provides an alternative to expensive treatments given by doctors and dermatologists.

The reason of selling this business

I genuinely think this store can be scaled to bring in more than 7 figures if run in the right hands. I have other Shopify stores that I would like to focus on. I am more interested in scaling those stores since the amount of time it takes to develop the stores is longer and I am interested in that industry more. I realized that this store was just collecting dust, when someone else can make a living off of it. I also decided to sell because I realized I do not have the knowledge or experience to sell to this particular industry. Given my inexperience, I have managed to make it profitable and have gotten a large revenue base!

What's involved in running this business

When an order is received, the order is exported via CSV and sent to the supplier. The supplier then sends an invoice which you pay. After 1-2 days, you will receive a tracking number that you send to your customers. In terms of advertising, you have to consistently reply to customers on Facebook, Instagram, and through the email.

Other details about profit: I have made a few sales outside of Shopify. The sales I have made are not included in the Average monthly revenue. I ran ads from March to mid April and stopped it shortly after. Although the Average Monthly Revenue seems low, it is because I was billed for the Shopify and store apps but was not running ads to make sales. In total, I expect there to be about $2000 in revenue since many individuals picked up the good from my location instead of buying and placing an order online.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

Facebook Pixel is the key to scaling, and growing the business. I have done almost all my advertisement on it and it can easily be scaled once the right campaign is made and adjusted. One way to successfully grow is to keep scaling profitably, to ensure you do not lose money along the way! The Instagram account has close to 500 followers as well! Making it easier to advertise your social presence. The store is SEO optimized and I was working on the SEO with a friend of mine who specializes in things like this. Of course, the SEO will take some time but I have gotten a few sales due to SEO rank.

    Skills to have

The new owner needs to be proficient in Facebook Ads, and know how to fulfill orders. I will go through the steps it takes to fulfill orders, since it is different than the usual drop shipping company (my products have a logo!). Shopify Store development skills are needed if the person intends to make any changes to the website as well!

I am a young entrepreneur who has been in/interested in business for as long as I can remember! I started business school in 2018, in my first year of university and have been interested in starting something online for the first time. I have created many drop shipping stores and a few of been successful but I have learned what works and I am implementing it across all my stores!

Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

    Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.
