Why this business was started

My partner and I adopted our first dog who had become the inspiration for this business. We were looking for products to spoil our pet when we realised there is a massive market for pet owners and creating sentimental personalised products that reflect their love for their pets. We found that there were products that we would have liked to purchase for ourselves but no platform was selling these items at that time.

The reason of selling this business

We are expecting our first child at the end of July and with working as a full time engineer I cannot sacrifice enough of my time that I previously had to continue running the store at full capacity.

The last 3 months we have not been actively advertising this business as I have needed to dedicate more time to my full time job. This resulted in a major dip in performance since I could not dedicate the time and attention to this business, this being said I will organise time for the transitional period.

Other details about profit: Massive mark up margin as we have a private supply source for all our products. We also have our own in house design teams to keep costs low. We are able to keep marketing costs low as we run our ads over multiple Instagram pages which we own. Our consumers are based in top tier English speaking countries with large expandable incomes. Our products are sold year round as they hold sentimental value and primarily given as gifts. We have multiple accounts on social media Instagram) which have a network following of over 110K in the pet niche. This will be included in the sale ,as our consumers primarily come from these platforms to buy direct. We have been approved on TIKTOK to run ads which our competitors are not on. The normal approval cost for TIKTOK ads is 20K plus a 6 month approval waiting period, which we will be including our TIKTOK ad account and ad manager within the sale of the business. Along with the sale of the business we will also include during the Escrow transaction: - Access to our private manufacturers and suppliers who have agreed to provide the same associated costs as they provided to us (38% cheaper than current market price) - Access to our customer email including all relevant templates. - Access to our current influncer database including list of high R.O.I Instagram pages we have used to promote products. - Rights to the designs exclusive to the store.

    How to grow this business

    Over the next 5 years if we were to continue running our business we would:

    Work with more pet influencers across different platforms to increase brand awareness and grow our reach further. ( Pet influencers are cheaper to work with compared to travel or beauty influencers and have further reach with larger more passionate audiences).

    Launch more new innovative products relevant to the market and consumer needs. As this is a print on demand business primarily, there are always new products being released to tap into.

    Look into other pets as we have seen over the past year an increase in " unusual pets" (lizards, horses, hamsters etc) being requested. Our primary audience are dog owners which is always profitable. We would also focus our attention on the cat niche as this is also a huge market for potential consumers.

    Increase marketing on different social media platforms ( pinterest, YouTube etc).
