Description

General description

Hi, I created this Shopify store with the intention of making money. I study architecture in South Africa and thought it would be a good income on the side. Once I'd setup the store, I realized that it was so hard to advertise from South Africa, trying to use influencers. I setup a few deals but they all fell through as I couldn't balance my time management as well as the fact that I was in South Africa trying to run this all through America. I setup the store from ground up. Took all the photos and created so that if I was a customer, I'd buy from the store. The cover photos and Instagram are of myself, my brother and my girlfriend. I'd be happy to have a Skype conversation with anyone who's keen to buy. Pretty much anyone who's seen my store while I was working on it wanted hats.

Why should someone buy this store?

I know for a fact that people want the hats on my store. I ordered many just for myself and ended up selling them to friends as they wanted them so badly. There is a huge opportunity to make money. I'd recommend going through an influencer, or a few influencers, paying around 400$ for a deal. You'd only need to sell around 25 hats to break even, after that the profits start rolling in. I've had this store open, paying the Shopify monthly fee for about 6 months but I've struggled to put time aside to advertise it. I study architecture and my time is extremely limited and controlled. I'd be happy to have a Skype conversation, or a few, before the sale to reassure you of how much this store could make. We've made 2 sales without advertising at all, somehow.... The potential is unreal, I just want to see someone with time and energy make it happen.

How can the future owner improve the business?

If you were to buy this store, the number one thing you need to do is pay influencers to post on their social medias with the hats. The store is setup extremely user-friendly, sleek and efficient. I created the store with the mindset of what I'd like to buy from. The Daddydadhat brand is sexy. When looking for influencers, make sure you get the right ones, like fashion Instagramers and not business Youtubers.

What work have you put into the store?

I've setup the store to what I see as perfection. I've edited all the photos of the hats so that it looks sleek and elegant. I've bought many hats and taken photos with my brother and girlfriend, so that the cover photo is unique, suited to the brand and makes people want to be a part of the culture. I wanted to create a simple cool brand which I think I have. My only problem was having time and setting up influencer deals.

Running this business for 7 months
I'm 22 years old, living in Cape Town, South Africa. If you go to the Daddydadhat Facebook page, I'm in the cover photo smirking shyly. I ran a Minecraft server for around 4 years, enabling me to pay for my studies and living expenses. Not relying on my parents or a student loan. I'd be more than happy to have a Skype conversation regarding the business to reassure you what profits can be made.
