This website taps into instagram's big geography/map niche to sell all sorts of maps- from scratch off travel maps, to vintage maps, and even a levitating magnetic globe. The account works best by paying certain influencers on Instagram for shoutouts, and really making those shoutouts as efficient as possible by making quality advertisements. Someone who can make a good ad and is a good all around marketer will definitely excel with this store. NOTE I tried drop shipping with this same store under a completely different name and product selection (Fitness store) and got 0 sales for 8 days before I switched. Take this into account when looking at the statistics.

There are a lot of potential customers in the travel/map/geography niche, which is growing super fast on instagram. The only work the owner has to do is spend time making a quality ad, then paying an influencer. I have worked up relationships with certain influencers and will recommend the best ones.

How can the future owner improve the business?

As I said before, the skill that was holding me back was my lack of a good marketing wherewithal. I would sometimes over saturate an account with ads, wasting money, instead of diversifying and making the most out of each promotion. Someone that knows how to do this will definitely have a lot of success.

What work have you put into the store?

The website design is very professional. I have a logo as well, which I will send you as a .png file so you can use it for whatever rebranding/advertisements you would like. I have also gotten to know the map/travel/geography influencers and can tell you which ones will give you the best returns, so you don't waste your money :).

Other details about profit: I chose to work with Oberlo suppliers, but you could easily do this with Aliexpress and kill it with higher margins. I chose to work with Oberlo suppliers because my card got frozen and Aliexpress was a headache to deal with, but they eventually verified my payments after I had already changed the products to Oberlo suppliers.

    Expand to facebook advertising, google adwords, create own instagram store so eventually I don't even have to pay influencers.

    Not really, though negotiating promotions from influencers is important. Also creating new advertisements is very important.
