About Dinosaurs Galore Kids are fascinated by dinosaurs and Dinosaurs Galore is a one stop shop for everything about dinosaurs.
We have created a wide product range of over 600 items of dinosaur toys and merchandise from top brands such Collecta and Schleich. The store is actively trading and is completely ready for Christmas sales.
The site's target audience is parents, relatives and friends of children who love dinosaurs. Our experience indicates that the typical buyers are women aged between 24 and 44 buying for children aged between 2 to 12 years.
Google AdWords indicates that there are more than 30,000 searches for keywords related to the site and we have only captured a few of these searches so far. With a sustained effort there is significant room to grow sales via organic search traffic in Google, Bing and other search engines. History Dinosaurs Galore was founded in 2007 and has been actively trading since. Unfortunately due to ill health the original owner sold the business to Rod and Alice in 2013.
Rod is the Managing Director of Panalysis a company that specialises in providing services to assist companies use Google Analytics to grow their business. Panalysis' customers include a range of retailers and e-commerce companies in Australia including Officeworks, JB HiFi, the Iconic and SurfStitch.
The reason that Rod and Alice acquired the Dinosaurs Galore business was to provide the consultants at Panalysis with a real business that they could use to test their skills and to gain experience in how to grow a real e-commerce business in a safe environment. Unfortunately as Panalysis is growing rapidly the consultant workload prevented this aim from being achieved as it never got the full attention that it deserved. Currently the Dinosaurs Galore website and Google Analytics account is used primarily for training and sales demonstration purposes within the Panalysis business.
Alice Whish took over the operations of the business in 2016 and has subsequently grown the social media presence and sales as a part time initiative. Alice's primary interests however are as a contemporary jeweller and running Dinosaurs Galore has been a sideline to her practice since this time.
As such after 5 years of operating Dinosaurs Galore in this way, Alice and Rod have decided that it is time to sell the business as this is a distraction to both of their primary businesses.
