Why this business was started
As a tall woman, I have personally experienced the frustration of not being able to find contemporary fashion that fits my tall body! So, in 2010 I opened this store as a brick and mortar. Due to the pandemic, in 2020, I closed the brick and mortar store and launched the ecommerce site. The ecommerce store is a much better fit for my current goals and life. It allowed me to take a full-time job, and concurrently run the online store part-time!

My passion is helping people feel amazing through fashion and I love business! Growing a business from inception, and owning/operating brick and mortar, and ecommerce stores have allowed me to fulfill these dreams. I've operated this Shopify store profitably part-time while working a job full-time for over a year. Since summer, 20221 additional opportunities have come up with my full-time job and, as evidenced with dynamic sales trends, I'm not able to give the online store the attention it deserves to reach its potential (thereby serve it's very loyal customer base)! As such, it's time for me to move onto the next chapter and allow you, the next awesome Owner, to fulfill your dreams by owning this profitable, fun, company!
What's involved in running this business
We generate traffic predominantly through our existing, extensive, loyal customer base. After 10 years of operation as a brick and mortar, as well as another year online, we've developed a very loyal following. We post on Facebook and Instagram at least 3-4 times per week and have offered weekly Live Sales in the past (although I recommend doing more of these as the audience responds well to them and sales always follow. I'm no longer able to do Live Sales with my full-time job).
We run Google Ads through a Google Ads company as well as some social media ads.
We work with a remote, part-time independent contractor that replies to emails, texts, and social media inquiries (1-10 hours/week).
The vast majority of our images are supplier-provided, however we do some of our own photography (using a smartphone). Periodically, we have used Fiverr to employ independent contractors to edit up to 100 photos at a time, which we take with a smartphone.
Currently, we store and ship the almost all of our inventory from home. Depending on your drive to grow the business, as well as physical space in your home, you may be able to continue operating this business out of your home! If shipping from your home isn't the right fit, you could partner with Third Party Logistics companies who could take care of warehousing, shipping, processing returns, etc. Currently, we drop ship some accessories, but this accounts for only about four orders per month.

This store requires the same skill set needed to run any other Shopify store. The target demographic is women needing added length in their clothing (ie: tall women). I have detailed customer profiles for this unique demographic, which I will provide to you.
