Why this business was started

I started EarthOnes.com after visiting numerous SE Asian Countries and found their beautiful beaches littered with all types of plastics. Later, back in the States I was buying a new toothbrush at a big box store and it struck me that everything in that isle was made of plastics. I want to offer a better product for a competitive price and I build and grew EarthOnes.com.

The reason of selling this business

Unfortunately for the brand, my main startup that I co-founded (Nereus Supply Chain Inc) really started taking off and I've had to dedicate 110% of my energy to that effort. I would love to see Earth Ones live on and become successful with someone else, I just can't dedicate my time to it right now.

What's involved in running this business

Not really much. The inventory (about 300-350 units across 4 SKUs) is small and doesn't take up much space. Receive an order, package the order, print the shipping label and drop it off at the Post office. I will pass along suppliers' information and negotiated rates (well below market)

    How to grow this business

    Advertise, Advertise, Advertise. I spent a good amount of time and energy on social media and got great traction and feedback from there. I started selling to some Local shops that focus "natural and organic" items and that was starting to gain some traction, but Covid-19 and governments' 'Stay at home orders' did not help. most of my stores are reopened now, but I haven't gotten any sales data from them yet. Where I really think the best opportunity is, is with the large dental supply companies; the companies that sell to dentist offices. I had some great meetings with them (3 biggest in North America), but wasn't able to follow through due to my other commitments. Obviously I would pass this information along to the new owner. I also wanted to offer other eco-friendly products over time and have suppliers lined up with negotiated rates that I can pass on.
