Business Story

Why this business was started

I saw a gap in the market and an opportunity to sell to a very passionate audience. People are constantly queuing outside these types of stores for hours and hours to be the first to get the new hottest items. I tried to recreate this by adding unique products.

You could further enhance this by making this store even more exclusive by marketing the products as having a very limited stock and having product drops.

The reason of selling this business

I have moved on to an inventory held private label brand that requires much more time from me. SO as much as I love this store I would much rather it go to someone who can give it a lot more time and affection then I can.

What's involved in running this business

Everything that's involved in a drop shipping store. I have no VA's as I didn't scale it to huge numbers and just fulfilled orders in my spare time. Also a basic understanding of Facebook ads is important. And regularly posting on the IG account.

This business was founded: over 1 year ago
Time to run this business: approximately 48 hours per week

Description

General description

As mentioned previously It's a branded store aimed at the younger hypebeast market.

The reasons for this is because people literally go nuts over brands like supreme, bape etc

it's a very hungry passionate audience that if you approach with the correct marketing angle can make big $$$

Why should someone buy this store?

If your looking for a plug and play brand/niche store with a solid audience ready to be targeted then this store is perfect.

The majority of the foundation for the brand has been laid already, all you would need to is continue to feed the audience with fresh content and products. And scale the brand to the moon.

How can the future owner improve the business?

By introducing new and fresh content, and also expanding the product range.

Another suggestion I would have is actually getting into influencer marketing as this is something I never had time to dive into, however it has a huge ROI as there are many influencers within this space with untapped audiences.

What work have you put into the store?

I've created everything myself, including the store build and the brand message. everything you see Has been done by me.

Other details about profit: this is only the second month the store has been open. and I've only been running one ad as previously mentioned I haven't had time to start expanding and scaling. However the first month did just under $1500 in revenue with a 30% profit margin with barely any effort at all. Plus There was no custom audiences this all came from cold traffic.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

I created this store because I saw an opportunity to capitalise on the hypebeast market. This is a VERY passionate audience and the market itself will only grow over the next 5 years. As it stands I'm only selling accessories, however you could very easily incorporate a clothing line and many other streetwear/hypebeast items and scale this into a huge business.

    Skills to have

I would suggest just having a general understanding of marketing and content creation.

You should also have a good idea of what the target market is hypebeast/supreme are solid brands to look at.

Just an everyday guy that got sick of his 9-5 and thought their must be more. I started my e-commerce journey late 2018 and have been creating both drop shipping and legit brands ever since. You may also see spikes way back last year this is because I was originally running this as a general store until I identified this market and just ripped down the whole store and created this one.
