Why this business was started
I started this business to use children's fashion to inspire, educate and empower the next generation of women. I've chosen prints and designs that have taught little girls about powerful women in history. I wanted a socially conscious business that doesn't partake in fast fashion, and gives back to charities with every purchase sold. This business has been open for 2.5 years, and in that time has donated thousands to charities. We have used clothing for little girls, to highlight the broad range of things girls are interested in and want to learn about, which is something I think has been lacking in children's fashion for a long time.
The reason of selling this business
Our asking price is exactly what Shopify Valued our business at, though Flippa valued us at 42K. While I've poured my heart and soul into this business, I have decided to sell for two reasons. The first reason is that I'm starting law school in the fall and will not be able to give this business my undivided attention. I also believe that we have reached a point in our growth where somebody who is more business savvy would be able to take this business to a level I never could. We have been steadily growing every month and while I'm not positive I would take the correct next steps in growing it further, I know there are people who can, and I want what's best for the business I've poured so much love into.
If you look at our metrics, you'll see our monthly revenue average is about $2.5K/month. That average is based on the past year, but since August 2018, when our business really took off, We've done $47.2K in sales for an average of $4.7K a month. I've done compared our growth percentages with our numbers from last year and I believe this business has the potential to get close to $100K, if not above, in revenue for the year (if you include the $16K we've done so far)
What's involved in running this business
Until now, I have done all of the production myself. I do have a team of seamstresses on standby, ready to work for whomever purchases this business, should they need immediate production help. This business requires designing, curating and producing clothing collections for little girls, including twirl dresses, peplum tops, shorts, knee high socks, swimsuits and hair scrunchies. A portion of each sale is donated to charity. The owner must handle all of the backend stuff as well as social media accounts. I do have the names of several social media managers who will work with you if you need help.

Logo and branding assetsI will include every file we have ever used in our branding, including any and all purchased fonts, images and graphic designs. This will include our logos, banner images, email images, business card and postcard designs and any promotional materials. These will be uploaded into a dropbox for you to access and emailed.
Personal support after saleI am willing to answer any and all questions the owner may have about operations or other aspects of the business as they need it. I am willing to stay on and help design the first few collections and am available to hire as a seamstress at the beginning as the new owner gets settled. I will not be available to work as a seamstress past August 2019, but will still be available to answer questions and help!

How to grow this business
If I were not selling, I would grow this business by moving toward a ready to ship model. When everything is made to order, it limits how much I have been able to sell and the costs associated with that. With a ready to ship model, one could purchase the fabrics ahead of time in bulk, to save money, and produce everything so that it ships quickly and is replaced quickly in inventory.
I would also start working harder on facebook advertising. We have seen success on our recent ads and our retargeting ads, but somebody with more of an understanding would be able to push that even farther.
Skills to have
The new owner should have an understanding of children's clothing. What do little girls WANT to wear? How are those clothes designed? The owner should at the very least, be able to design the collections and dictate to seamstresses what they would like out of the garments.
