Why this business was started

Evervolt was started with the vision of providing customers with a wide-array of smart technology gadgets that would help to increase the efficiency and productivity of their everyday lives.

The term "ever" derives from the word "evergreen" - which exudes the meaning of products that are built to last and serve an extraordinary purpose to stand the test of time.

In other words, we wanted to continuously provide awesome and kick-ass gadgets that will serve a purpose in this world no matter what!

The reason of selling this business

In all honesty, we decided to sell this business as we started to run short on capital and could not afford to invest in pre-buying inventory for our lead product, "The Jetpack".

This product in particular is an awesome and portable battery pack that seamlessly snaps onto the back of any smart device - whether that be an iPhone or Android.

Our initial source of fulfillment for this product was using the method of dropshipping (directly from the manufacturer in China). However, this posed certain risks as battery-based products as "The Jetpack" can typically result in longer than normal delivery times due to the hazardous nature of batteries in general.

But thankfully, there's an easy fix. Simply buy the product in bulk from the manufacturer and ship it to a 3rd party fulfillment center such as ShipWire or ShipMonk so that the products will already be housed in the United States and can be delivered to customers domestically in just a few business days!

What's involved in running this business

When this store was in operation, our main tasks were customer service, fulfillment, and marketing through Facebook Ads.

Given that billions of people in this world own a smart device... they'd surely find the products we offer at Evervolt to be valuable in their lives. But they just need to be shown the right advertisements to speak to them.

So in that case, this is where I can say this was our weak point when running the store. Was that our marketing was not good enough, and we just could not afford to hire a production team to make a kick-ass ad that would engage users in every social media platform.

Our products in Evervolt have already been proven to have some demand through the sales we've accumulated.

Other details about profit: The average profit we listed above takes into account of the 2 short months in which we operated the business with our lead product "The Jetpack". Due to our lack of capital, we could no longer afford to continuously run and test more Facebook ad creatives which could have had the potential to explode this product and brand into the 6 figure per month mark. The remaining months of 2020 resulted in a negative profit as we completely stopped bring in traffic through our ads and also had a to cancel a few orders for customer who requested to do so. Canceled orders are pretty much inevitable and you can see that the revenue lost was only a couple hundred dollars. If you continuously run traffic and accumulate more sales, these small losses from cancellations will easily be recovered.
