Why this business was started
Evil Eye Collective began long before I ever had the idea for a shop. My Greek background and fascination with "the evil eye" (or "mati" in Greek) has had me curating my own jewelry box of evil eye pieces since I was in high school.
So I started this business because I know that niche, targeted audiences are the easiest and cheapest to target. Creating a business for everyone doesn't work, and it's expensive to get your audience's attention.
Evil eye jewelry is a great segment to target because on Facebook, there are audience interests for both "jewelry", "Greek language", and "evil eye" - so you have the PERFECT audience right there to target, knowing they will resonate with your ads. On top of that, jewelry has excellent markup. With the suppliers I've found, pieces cost anywhere from 50 cents to $8, and they retail for $12 to $39, a very healthy margin.
I've also done a lot of work on search engine optimization. You'll see in the pictures my store is on Google's first page for "evil eye meaning", and is the second image when you search "evil eye" in Google Images.
The reason of selling this business
When I started this business, my husband and I had 1 child and a smaller house. Now that we have a dog and another baby on the way, it isn't realistic for me to continue trying to grow this business. I'm not giving it the attention it deserves, so I figured it was time to sell it to someone who has the time to grow it to it's full potential.

The time spent on the business is mostly on advertising and fulfilling orders. A lot of the harder work has already been completed, with beautiful product photography, website, ads, email automations, chat automations, and more already set up. And most importantly, a brand has been built that customers are identifying with.
