Why this business was started
I decided to start this business because of my love of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8. I grew up watching the Fast and Furious movie franchise and this car means a lot to me.
After managing a large Evo fan page (closing in on 60k followers now) on Instagram for the past year this I realised the power of organic traffic and how awesome car based fan apparel is - so I decided to connect the dots.
This is a hugely passionate audience that, if done correctly, can really be profitable.
The reason of selling this business
Unfortunately, I am opting to sell due to not having the time to manage everything. Posting 5 times a day and having the spare capital to run the ads is just something that I can't manage any more. This platform has all the components of great tracking, follow up and great quality products - all it needs is some gasoline to ignite the traffic with some great designs. I've spent over 80 hours working on setting this store up for success with low running costs and fairly little time investment to run comparatively to other stores that I have personally built and managed.
What's involved in running this business
Now that it has been setup, the only daily running tasks include: - Posting 5 times a day on Instagram (the page basically funds its own content through DMS) - Responding to Customer service emails - Checking over the Printful orders to ensure that there are no issues. - Replying to DMs on Instagram and posting any customer photos to the [REDACTED] page for social proof. - Managing the Facebook ads, building Google campaigns and sourcing Evo pics to load into the Buffer queue.

Personal support after saleI am more than happy to assist with transferring all of the assets, configuration of the store, a little guidance on where to take it with the marketing and general direction of that store to make it profitable and basically my plan for what I was going to do with it. This support will most likely last for about a month but I am always happy to assist where I can, as best as I can.
Product photosAll product photos and mock ups are stored in a Google Drive folder that will be provided as mentioned above along with the branding and logo images.
How to grow this business
- I would continue researching new designs based on current top selling designs in similar industries with similar target audiences and innovate on those designs to ride their popularity.
- I would also implement a weekly newsletter showing off various Evos.
- Future profits allowing, I would connect a Lancer Evo forum to the store to bring in more organic traffic to the store.
- Finally I would implement some dropshipping elements to sell key chains, scale die cast model Evos and other popular products trending on Amazon relating to Evos.
Skills to have
The biggest success that I have had is spending time going through DMs on Instagram (main traffic source) and working relationships to encourage new buyers. Followers love it when they are involved in the development of a new design.
Working with influences also allowed for word to spread about the merch that we developed.
Customer service is huge in this business specifically, so that is the most important skill here.
Knowing how to run a forum, grow the page and not spam too much is also key.
