Business Story

Why this business was started

I started this store to save some money to invest in my SaaS business; my plan was to keep working on this store and get it to a point where I have a couple thousand dollars coming in passively, but my SaaS business is more demanding than I thought and I need quick capital to keep my SaaS business going. The store as you can see is fully optimized for conversions and I have put a great deal of attention into making sure that the store looks like a branded store rather than a general dropshipping store with no effort put into the customer experience. The layout of the website is clean and streamlined to provide a hassle-free checkout experience to customers.

The reason of selling this business

I'm putting it up for sale with a heavy heart as I need capital to invest in my mobile app business as I'm running out of savings that I had saved up so I need quick capital to keep my SaaS business going.

What's involved in running this business

I'm a one man band running this show, so to speak. I have set up the store in a very transparent way so the potential customers can clearly see the shipping times, refund policy etc. This way, the owner would not have to deal with a flood of repetitive e-mails asking about shipping times, refunds etc.

The store is up and ready to generate ungodly amounts of revenue each month ($30K+ easily) - If you're willing to drive a good amount of traffic to it. Honestly, you barely have to spend anytime on managing the website, the only time you'll be spending on the website is fulfilling orders and handling customer support requests (which btw can be cheaply outsourced so you can allocate all your time to online advertising which is the key factor that will move the business forward).

About 80% of your time is going to be involved in running and managing ad campaigns, researching products( IF you want to add more products, although I have spent hours and hours of product research and have listed really good upsell products in the baby niche.) 15% providing customer service and the rest of 5% fulfilling orders.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

Currently, the business has done 90K+ in revenue with only 3 lead products and I honestly think that if you are willing to put in the effort & time into this business, then there's no reason why this business can't do $50K/month

Following are some of the ways that I think will help grow the business over the next 5 years.

    1) You can test and find more products that resonates with your audience; that way you have more lead products to work with to scale your store to beyond $500K/year.

    2) Seriously, get a strong e-mail marketing campaigns in place. The ROI with e-mails is unbeatable; it costs next to nothing to e-mail potential customers and the revenue generated from this method will significantly boost your monthly revenue. You can easily hire someone for cheap to do your e-mail marketing campaigns from any freelancing website.

    3) Shipping delays are the most frustrating thing for customers so getting a fulfillment center that holds your inventory and then ship it for you will greatly enhance the customer shopping experience.

    4) You can get into private labeling as it increases brand loyalty which means your returning customer rate will go up so you can afford to pay a high customer acquisition cost upfront and then that will pay back many folds with high LTV (Lifetime value) customers.

    5) Capitalize on the holidays that are relevant to baby niche such as Halloween, christmas gifts etc.

    6) Outsource maintenance work such as customer support, product research & order fulfillment so you can focus on the key factor that drives the business forward which in this business is social media advertising. ( I have a good relationship with a VA and I can help you put in touch with him if you would like to hire a good VA at a reasonable wage).

    Skills to have

Online marketing is a key to a profitable e-commerce site. Over the course of running many dropshipping stores, I have acquired the skill of running good FB/Instagram ad campaigns and I'd be happy to share my knowledge on how to run a good FB ad campaign and then scaling it to the moon to generate a huge amount of revenue on a monthly basis.

E-mail marketing is another valuable skill that will help bring in extra revenue at very little cost.

Good customer service and product research.(Although, I recommend that you outsource those two jobs as it will save you time to focus on other more important things). You will obviously have to know a little bit about employee management so things so smoothly.
