Why this business was started
I started it as a fun side project to compliment my photography. It has really taken off, averaging more than 10k a month. The concept was pretty simple: because I'm already good at editing images, I decided to create presets ("saved photo filters") for clients to use to quickly apply to their images.
The business grew really quickly, and is completely scalable with very little extra overhead because the product is digital files. That means you can sell a million of these without having to restock inventory.
The reason of selling this business
My first love is photography, and I have a full-time job shooting for various companies that keeps me busy now that events are happening again (they paused due to covid).
What's involved in running this business
All the products are already created. Fulfillment is fully automated. There is a very thorough how-to video to install the product on your phone, but every now and then you might have a customer need some help following the instructions (I am also open to staying on as a customer service rep at additional fee). I also pay influencers to promote, so that takes an hour per week. I also do email marketing, which takes about 2 hours per week, and have amassed an email list of around 23,000+ subscribers since launch. There is a lot of value in those subscribers because they trust this brand!

How to grow this business
All the products (digital) have already been created, and the workflow is automated. You can literally just log in and see how much you sold that day. The business has little risk because it sells digital products that can't be duplicated, and inventory never runs out or needs to be fulfilled.
If I wanted to grow the business, I'd start utilizing facebook ads and google ads to help spread the word even farther. I don't know much about facebook ads, and I have a full-time job (this is my side-hustle).
