Business Story
Why this business was started
I started this business back in 2013 as I myself had become very passionate about the subject matter and wanted to build something that would afford me the opportunity to spend more time researching the subject matter and networking within the various communities adjacent to it. As a POD company, it's a great way of raising revenue to put towards content creation within this space to grow its social media presence, or simply to continue reinvesting back into the company to perform more efficiently and at an increasingly larger scale.
The reason of selling this business
I had a falling out with my employees in 2018 and have been running the business by myself since then, while working on other businesses that have exceedingly taken up more of my time, energy and passion. I believe the company could use a more passionate and dedicated owner to take over and continue to grow it from here in the years to come.
What's involved in running this business
Fulfillment of orders can be done through an outside POD company to start as to keep startup costs low. If you have the funding or already have the equipment, the products can be printed on-demand with 1-2 DTG printers. An understanding of SEO and the ability to be active on and leverage social media would be ideal, as would an understanding of Facebook ads as the audience for these products can be targeted through there. Lastly, the ability to handle graphic designing yourself or to manage a graphic designer in order to turn around timely designs and build new collections based on current events that drive traffic to the site (e.g. the upcoming 2020 elections).

Seller‘s Advice
How to grow this business
There is an immense growth potential ahead for this company with the right, motivated, and passionate owner. The two growth channels that are relatively untapped for this company at the moment are selling its items wholesale to retailers and releasing timely collections and new designs centered around important political and feminist events and conversations as they stir up in real time (both domestic to the USA and globally), which will leverage the brand's strong SEO that is has built up over the past 6 years.
Skills to have
The ideal owner would be one that's passionate about spreading conversations, has an understanding of SEO, and can grow the company through a re-dedication to social media, wholesale outreach, and management of a graphic designer/illustrator or the ability to do it themselves.
