Business Story
Why this business was started
This business was started as an endeavour to become self-employed and took months of painstaking work, involving cataloguing of products, establishing communications with suppliers and warehouse agents to ensure a smooth journey.
Starting out with Drop-shipping allowed me to earn a decent amount of money while being independent from any jobs or bosses. After the store started out to be profitable i switched to ship in bulk to a US warehouse and brand my product with a logo.
I love the idea of being able to work anywhere i want, to be able to generate money during sleep, seeing all the order notifications in the morning when I wake up.
The reason of selling this business
I am ready to leave this in the hands of someone who is either experienced or non-experienced (will provide support for 2 weeks after take-over). I am moving on to a new business, will have less time and no longer need this business to supplement my income.
What's involved in running this business
You will have to handle daily inquiries via Facebook, Instagram and Email. The amount of inquiries depend on the current FB Ad-Spend and aggressiveness of the Ads. Also, dealing with customer service logistic issues. Since switching to a reliable US warehouse, the amount of inquiries has reduced a lot, while the sales increased with FB Ads targeted just to the US. There is potential in expanding to different advertising channels like most importantly Google Ads. And of course the communication with the Chinese supplier and the US warehouse to not run out of inventory.
It is important to outsource the customer service tasks, to be able to focus on the important stuff like running the Ad Campaigns which provide the profit and building and improving the Social Media Channels to generate organic traffic.
I will prepare for the take-over of my LLC via MyCompanyWorks, FB/IG channels, Shopify Store including Apps, warehouse (Shipbob) and domain.
