Why this business was started

We started this business 8 years ago when we identified an opportunity to distribute the brand Flossy Style in the U.K. We went on to become the exclusive distributors of the brand and built a company with revenues reaching in excess of £3m. The majority of our business focus and revenue is wholesale where we sell our brand to major high street retailers such as OFFICE, Schuh, Topman, USC, Debenhams. We are a company of 3 employees and our e-comm business takes too much focus away from our core business function and knowledge which is wholesalers.

The reason of selling this business

We are a specialist wholesale company and are a company of 3 personnel. For that reason, we lack the digital expertise, passion and man hours to fully dedicate our attention to this aspect of our business which only equates to approx. 15% of our company revenue. The website has been operating for over 8 years (previously magento), and at its peak, achieved revenues of £450,000. The site has huge potential to grow from its current sales performance with owners that are passionate and knowledgeable about the digital retail space.

What's involved in running this business

Ordering from a single supplier based in Spain. Warehousing is currently based in Swindon where all picking, packing and fulfilment is carried out. We have a Facebook & Instagram page where we would regularly advertise. We currently have approx. 65,000 followers. We also carry out Mailchimp email marketing to approx. 30,000 registered users.
