Why this business was started

I wanted a store with a high season during the summer months, to balance my other stores which do much better in the winter (though indoor fountains are actually not that seasonal.

I did not want to worry about inventory, so I went with a dropshipping model. When the orders come in, I pass them on to the suppliers, who then ship the products directly to the customer.

The reason of selling this business

I have decided to focus on stores with recognizable brands, because I have not done well with Google Shopping Ads where customers do not search for brand names.

Customers searching for fountains do not usually search for brand names and, to be honest, I prefer to focus on stores that are doing well, instead of learning how to advertise effectively when there is little to no brand recognition. I also did not want to spend time on SEO, because I am already busy doing SEO for my other stores.

What's involved in running this business

The main tasks involved are order fulfillment and running Google shopping campaigns. I would also spend some time adding more product lines and creating blog posts to help drive Google search traffic.

Other details about profit: I only entered 1 for the profit and number of orders, because the system did not allow me to enter 0. I stopped running ads for this store last year and have spent no time on it since then. I was never able to make it profitable, because I could not figure out how to effectively run Google Shopping Ads to products with little to no brand recognition. If you have experience with that, or with SEO (very little competition), making sales would be no problem.

    I would add more product lines and brands. I would also create blog content answering common customer questions, to drive traffic search traffic to the store. There is a huge opportunity with SEO in this niche.
