Why this business was started

We were always interested in e-commerce and working for ourselves. We discussed and thought how we could best sell our products, we basically really we both had a love of dogs, both myself and my business partner loved our own dogs and new we could exert our energy into a dog product store.

Because we had available access to our own dogs, we could create simple video ads with our dogs playing with the toys.

The excitement of hearing the cha ching sound go off on our phones every time we get a sale, makes all the hard work put in to this website worth it.

The reason of selling this business

Myself and by business partner have found a new passion project that we have both longed to do. We both work full time and have decided we can't give both stores the attention they need to make them both flourish (Hence why there are a few months of no store activity or sales). We simply decided we needed to put all our eggs in 1 basket.

This is a dropshipping website that sells pet products. To run this website you will need to Run/ check the following items daily: - Check Facebook ads, always check your business manager how your performance is going. Do I need to lower the budget for the day if underperforming? - Check Instagram (68,000 followers), post a photo, comment and like peoples photos, reach out to potential collaborators you can work with. Reply to messages - Fulfil orders - Our simple system with our Fulfilment agent allows you to bulk pay the active orders when you want. Saving plenty of time to complete other tasks. - Reply to Emails - Spend some time out of your day replying to customers who are asking when their order is arriving or if you have to provide any replacements. myself and my business partner could handle the email load together, this is why an virtual assistant wasn't required. - Account manager - Every day you should have a spreadsheet available to keep track of your sales and expenses.

Other details about profit: As you may be able to see on the graphs provided, we had many down periods where we didn't advertise and our account was on pause. This was due to our personal lives full time work, university and working on our other passion project together. When we did start advertising you can clearly see it was a straight hit. The current graph indicating our monthly revenue is skewed over the whole time our Shopify store has been activity. It doesn't account for the down time months where our account was essentially paused. Our revenue per month while advertising was thousands (As you can see in the peak periods) We know that people love spending money on Dogs and Babies. This is why you should get in today!       We currently have a strong relationship with our Fulfilment agent. We have a tried a couple and if we weren't going to sell the store we would stick by them 100%. Our fulfilment agent is based in China, they speak very good English and are contactable almost all the time. The agent can fulfil our orders in 6-12 days. The agent has an app linked to our Shopify store that you use to pay for orders, import new stock and track warehoused product quantities. There are 2 ways to deal with orders. 1. We can pre purchase stock - We pay our agent to purchase the stock and store it for us in their warehouse at NO EXTRA COST. When orders come through the agent can send the order out for shipping within the same day. This cuts out 4 days of shipping times. 2. Order as we go - If we don't purchase stock on hand, our agent will purchase stock from the suppliers as we go every day and handles the receiving and packaging products ready to ship out. Our potential buyer will receive this as part of the deal and I will set you up with our agents Skype contact details that you will use to communicate daily.

    How to grow this business

    Due to our autonomous fulfilment of orders with our agent. We recommend spending the extra time available to set up automatic email marketing, set times the email release and really utilise the 9700+ email contacts. This is something we hadn't done a lot of and regret the opportunity to utilise the free audience.

    We would also recommend utilising our 68,000 followers on Instagram. We didn't put in the time to reach out to dog accounts. The goal for you would be to reach out and send products out to dog accounts with thousands of followers to help you advertise. In return you get free advertising and you also get the chance to repost the photos onto your very own Instagram. The use of Social media can make a business go through the moon. Due to our 68,000 followers, other accounts will want to work with you, as you can provide them with free advertising to our 68,000 followers. It is a win win for both parties.

    Skills to have

    The potential buyer who is willing to make the jump. Should understand the ins and outs of the Shopify platform. If you don't that is ok, there are thousands of Youtube videos to help with trouble shooting while also Shopify support is active 24/7 and the wait time is no longer than 5 minutes.

    The potential buyer should also understand how to create a Facebook Business Managers account to run their Facebook/ Instagram ads through. This involves understanding the difference between a campaign, ad set and ad on the platform and understanding what KPI's to look out for. Again it isn't the end of the world if you don't there are thousands of Youtube videos available and plenty of Mentors. I still contact my mentor who I learnt everything off 1 year ago.

    The potential buyer should have an understanding about how to market products, how to emotionally engage the audience, what flashy information should you make jump in front of the audience. How to choose who your audience is. Testing is a major part of facebook ads, you need to spend some money learning who your audience is and narrow in on your successful campaigns.
