Business Story

Why this business was started

Like anyone else, I decided to start FuturityBlinds as there was a gap in the market. Nobody has a good looking website which was simple for the customer to use. Additionally, I have a lot of contacts with ad creative agencies which made my work a lot cleaner.

The reason of selling this business

I'm selling FuturityBlinds because I do not have the time to work on this brand, it would be extremely better off with a dedicated business owner. I've received many emails about wholesale distribution from many blind companies which is also an A+ they're wanting to order thousands of units at a time and as this is a dropshipping store you're making a great profit on their orders. I haven't had the time to go through and accept those or communicate very much with them.

This is one of my many stores and in order to tidy up my cashflow I need to either stop advertising on these for months to come or sell. I'm spending thousands on ads a day with my other dropshipping stores and having all these smaller stores running ads on moderate budgets adds up especially when I do not have the time to manage them and alter whats running in terms of adspend.

What's involved in running this business

  • Fulfilling Orders is automated with the supplier. They're connected to the store, when orders come in you don't need to do anything but pay the supplier at the end of the day or end of the week. Depending on your agreement it could even be monthly.

  • Facebook Ads checkup (checking on the ads 2 - 3 times a week)

  • Google Ads checkup

  • Creative development

It's extremely simple for the average shopify owner with basic experience.

This business was founded: about 1 year ago
Time to run this business: approximately 5 hours per week

Other details about profit: I've spent thousands building data and customer lists for this brand. You can see this store in Jan did 2k net which isn't great, Facebook Ads may not be the best source of traffic. I believe google ads will be the best way to power this store with Facebook Ads being used as a retargeting tool. The best part of this brand and business is that if you take a look at the website, we provide the customer with different packs so they have a higher likelihood of purchasing multiple. It's normal for a single customer to purchase 3 pieces and our post purchase upsell with extreme discounts encourages higher order values.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

If you'd like to scale this store you need a team or have contacts with top tier Ad Creative agencies. The sale of the store also includes the Customer List and all. I used Facebook Ads, it would do extremely well on Google Ads which it received conversions for, I decided to focus on Facebook Ads but I probably should have stuck with Google Ads.

    Skills to have

    • Knowledge with Google and Facebook Ads (I will give you the keywords which worked with google ads to save you the effort)

I'll also include ALL the creatives used on Facebook Ads.

My name is Kevin, I love creating and branding dropshipping stores and this is one of many that I have made. I've decided to sell a few of my smaller stores as I can only focus on very few. I've had this theme 100% custom coded, nobody else has this theme. Additionally, it comes with a completely different and modern look experimental theme for the brand which is of similar layout to the current published brand. You can find a developer to modify that to your liking.

    Secure messaging platform

You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.

    Encrypted payment capture

Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.

Take time to inspect the business

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

    Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.
