Business Story

Why this business was started

I've always listened to people talking about their promotion at work how they'll be making $100 more now. This got to me how people really don't seem to have any real ambitions. I first started another store which wasn't very succesful, after that store came GamingNeeds. It was an industry I had some knowledge about and knew what people would like. Eventually it started growing. In the 2 years GamingNeeds exists I've built up a large influencer net of around 19 influencers (mostly consisting of Meme channels with around 100k-2 million views on average) willing to advertise for some amazing rates going a lot lower than most Facebook ads.

The reason of selling this business

I've also got my university to worry about, It's taking up a lot of time. without this time I can't grow GamingNeeds further. I had to make a decision between University and GamingNeeds, and chose the first.

What's involved in running this business

The main focus is on managing the 3 employees currently maintaining the store. Their tasks include customer service, Product management and supplier management. Operations like starting new promotions, managing ads or reaching out to influencers are not yet automated.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

To start growing, the current Facebook and Google ads can be expanded. The Youtube sponsorship reach-out can be broadened, and possibly made more ROI friendly with an affiliate program. After this, more employees will need to be hired to ensure an even workload (currently 3).

    Skills to have

A basic knowledge of Shopify, the concept of dropshipping and experience with Facebook/Google ads can be useful, but not mandatory as I will transfer my own knowledge and experience about the store operations in the month after the sale.
