Business Story

Why this business was started

I am running another ecom store, doing drop-shipping, I decided to add to my portfolio POD site, for faster delivery and better service to the customers.

The reason of selling this business

My drop-shipping site is working very well (6 figures / month) and I don’t find the time to manage another site, although it has great potential. I realize I am lack of knowledge in social, and I can't find the time to learn how to deal with it, usually I would hire someone to do it, but I didnt because the profit wasn't high enough.

What's involved in running this business

The flow of the orders is: when order is getting in, the designer is working on it and upload to the shared folder, the VA is sending the preview to the customer for approval (takes less than 24 hours for that), after the customer approves, The VA sends all orders to the US based supplier, it takes to them 2-3 days to produce it and 2-4 days to ship to client. This flow is working great with no issues. Besides that, the VA is taking care of all of the customer service.

The buyer just has to take care of the media- advertising and marketing

This business was founded: about 1 year ago
Time to run this business: approximately 8 hours per week

Other details about profit: Shopify valued $51,560. I am looking for quick sell, that is the reason for the price. The site didn’t get the right attention from me from the start, and that is the reason it was hard to deliver a lot of sales. In Nov- Dec 2020 the site Revenue was almost $40K, with 533 sales and a gross profit of $7.3K. The AOV (March-Dec20) $70.16. Total Revenue 2020: $72.2K Total advertising 2020: $49.3K Total COG+Shipping: $18.7K GP 2020: $4,036 The first months the store lost a lot of money, until I find the right place to run the ads.

    How to grow this business

There are several options to grow to store: • Work better on social media • Add more POD products to the store, for upsells or just as a different type of products (e.g cups, socks etc) • Using affiliates to gain more relevant traffic • More geos, currently running just in the US • Using new traffic sources as Tiktok, Snap etc

    Skills to have

The owner should know how to buy media and manage social media, or hire an expert to do so

    Why use Exchange?

Exchange is the largest and fastest-growing marketplace for Shopify e-commerce stores

    Verified listing data

The revenue and traffic data that you see on each listing is pulled directly from its Shopify account. This means that the data has been verified. Exchange reviews and monitors listings for thorough and accurate information.

    Secure messaging platform

You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.

    Encrypted payment capture

Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.

Take time to inspect the business

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

    Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.

    Post-purchase 24/7 Shopify support

Once you log into your Shopify account for the first time and choose a subscription plan, Shopify Support Gurus are available 24/7 to help you with the settings of the store.
