I purchased this business 12 months ago because I could see the potential to lift the store back to its previous sales levels.

The reason of selling this business

I have three other businesses which take up all of my time - one is services based, the second is a product-based e-commerce store and the third is a takeaway store, so I just don't have any time to focus on this one!

I recommend checking Oberlo daily for notifications about product and price changes, fulfilling orders when received, setting up and monitoring Facebook Ads, creating and scheduling organic Facebook content, and creating a regularly email newsletter highlighting a range of products. The store is currently set up with 9 product categories. Each category currently contains from 0 to 15 products, all sourced from AliExpress and integrated with Oberlo. You can easily add new products and categories to grow the range and target additional customer segments. There are many tools available to help you research popular and profitable products and categories. Oberlo provides excellent free video tutorials and training to help you grow your business.

    How to grow this business

    Facebook Ads, organic Facebook content and email marketing are the tactics I would use to grow this store to its previous sales levels and beyond. Facebook Ads have worked well for the store in the past, and 60% of sales in its peak year 2017 came from Facebook traffic. The Facebook page has been inactive for a couple of years but has a large audience ready to re-engage. The Shopify store contains over 12k email addresses of previous customers who have opted in to receive marketing communications. This database has not been emailed recently so an email re-engagement campaign , followed by a regular email newsletter, would be a great tactic to drive sales.

    Skills to have

    If you have experience with Shopify, Oberlo, Facebook Ads and email marketing you will be ready to hit the ground running, but these are all skills that are easily learned with a bit of focus and commitment if you are not highly experienced in these areas.
