Why this business was started

I am a hairdresser by trade and I work at lots of weddings. So I could see that bridal parties do a lot of online ordering for the majority of their items for their big day. I knew what was in style what people order for weddings as I was there on the day and saw it all first hand.

The reason of selling this business

I don't have the time to spend on it anymore as I have a young family and I also work full time as a hairdresser with my own business. I loved setting up the store but struggle to stay motivated on the computer, I need to concentrate more on my hairdressing at this moment in time.

What's involved in running this business

I did most sales on ebay so it was mainly ordering the product and checking the tracking that it had arrived as the products and descriptions I had previously spent time on so unless I was sourcing a new product I didn't need to do too much to the site.

General description

I started this store for bridal party preparation. I also work as a bridal hairdresser and noticed that everyone was using very similar items in the morning before a wedding. Primarily I wanted to sell robes for the bridal party to wear while getting ready, but I also noticed that some brides wear a veil because of family pressure and they don't want to spend a lot of money on a veil they don't really want to wear so I have an affordable range of veils on my site too. I order my products via the Oblero app with most coming from Ali Express. I have had a lot of sales from ebay using ink frog app. My best seller is a long dressing gown. I've imported 95 products to my store and have gone through all the descriptions tagging each product and putting them into collections.

It's a great little store that has a number of products idea for a wedding day. I will offer 1 month if help to whoever buys this store. I always had a few sales each month without doing too much so imagine how you could expand with more e-commerce experience.

How can the future owner improve the business?

The future owners could run more ads and maybe do more SEO. someone with a better knowledge of ecommerce could improve this ready made store immediately. I was hairdressing too and found it hard when I had a lot of work on to manage the store and the hairdressing.

What work have you put into the store?

I sourced a few of the dressing gowns and have a few samples of them. I've done a lot of work on the descriptions and pages I have run a few ads and have sat for hours checking product pages. I've personally seen first hand what people wear on the morning of a wedding and sourced products based on years of bridal party experience.
