Business Story

Why this business was started

As a guitar builder I was looking for a way to save money on guitar parts. So, I started importing guitar parts myself, this naturally turned into a business for me. Our original website was built around 2006 on the X-Cart platform, we moved to Shopify about a year ago for better security and functionality.

The reason of selling this business

I own several businesses and feel I can't pay enough attention to GPC.

Other details about profit: I currently use Affiliate marketing to increase profit from the store. This is something I just added and needs to be grown. I've modified the system to allow for out-of-stock products listed in the store to be linked to [Amazon] affiliate products. As of this writing, I have less than a dozen products linked to Amazon. I am averaging a click-a-day. My plan was to massively increase the amount of affiliate products. I will continue to add affiliate products while the store is up for sale.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

    1. If the store doesn't sell, my plan is to hire a VA for adding (thousands) of affiliate products. I have already modified the system to allow for "out-of-stock" products to be linked to Amazon Affiliate products. As of this writing I have less than a dozen affiliate products and am averaging about a click-a-day.

    2. Expand the catalog with more name-brand parts.

    3. Something I wanted to do (but couldn't find the time) is to make Youtube videos for guitar repair, I was able to make one video and I will include the Youtube channel with the sale of the business.

    Why use Exchange?

Exchange is the largest and fastest-growing marketplace for Shopify e-commerce stores

    Verified listing data

The revenue and traffic data that you see on each listing is pulled directly from its Shopify account. This means that the data has been verified. Exchange reviews and monitors listings for thorough and accurate information.

    Secure messaging platform

You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.

    Encrypted payment capture

Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.

Take time to inspect the business

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

    Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.

    Post-purchase 24/7 Shopify support

Once you log into your Shopify account for the first time and choose a subscription plan, Shopify Support Gurus are available 24/7 to help you with the settings of the store.
