General description

Halo Lighters makes and sells a private label brand of electric, USB rechargeable, dual arc lighters. The lighters utilize rechargeable lithium ion batteries to produce electric arcs between the electrodes, capable of igniting virtually anything, and are 100% windproof. We’ve sold approximately $10,000 worth of product in the last six months. The business is not incorporated as its own entity and currently operates as a DBA under another company, so the legal transfer of the business and all assets would be very simple. We have an OEM agreement with a manufacturer in China to produce our branded label of these products. We typically buy 300-500 products at a time from our manufacturer. We have approximately 230 lighters in inventory that will be included with the sale.

The products are unique, in high demand, versatile, and at the leading edge of modern gadget technology. Facebook has been back and forth allowing us to run ads on their platform, at times denying our ads because they claim that our products promote the use of tobacco. If the future owner can figure out a way to get the products white listed on Facebook’s ad platform, then the business can experience great success. When our Facebook ads are approved, our net profit margins consistently range between 20-30%, including our costs of packaging and shipping, and we never tested the ceiling on our ability to scale. We also have not put any effort into email marketing, influence marketing, building social audiences, or selling on eBay or Amazon. There is also huge potential in selling the products wholesale to other retailers. The gross profit margins on retail sales, including the costs of packaging and shipping, are about 100%.
