General description

Natural deodorant is quickly becoming a hot product. It's why Unilever recently acquired a business in this space and venture capitalists are rushing to invest in this industry. Also, finding the right product is the key to ecommerce instead of trying to sell something that everyone else is selling.

Financials and traffic

We have a 75% + gross margin, but the cost of shipping is where most of the margin goes. We also stopped advertising about 12 months ago. Before this we were had our largest month of $27,000 in revenue. Since August of last year, we've only been doing email marketing to our existing list which has continued to drive sales.

Q & A

Do you work with any employees, freelancers, or contractors?

Contractors currently do customer service, email marketing and social media management. The business is completely hands off for the owners. Existing contractors can stay on, or the new owners can pay themselves this money, or re-invest it.

Why should someone buy this store?

The top 10 reasons to buy this business today:

1.This business makes money every day without us doing any marketing activities in the past 12 months. 2.Over 75% gross margin 3.30% of sales come from existing customers. This is a big challenge for most businesses today. 4.US website conversion rate is over 4%, and Canadian website converts over 6%. 5.You get 10,000 + email newsletter subscribers who've subscribed over the past 2 years (all legitmate - they opted in for a discount code) 6.You get 5,000 + existing paying customers 7.Fully automated business (you pay the supplier, they ship it to a 3rd party warehouse, and they automatically ship your Shopify orders) 8.A new formula has been created but not released yet. The deodorant currently sells in a jar you apply with your finger. Upon purchase you get the recipe for the stick version we created. 9.Completely unique product - this isn't a dropshipped product. We developed the formula and customers love it. 10.Natural Deodorant is quickly starting to dominate the body care industry, and you can get in on the ground floor with a proven product.

How can the future owner improve the business?

There's a few exciting opportunities. When we were actively marketing, the business would generate $10k-$20k/month. A new owner could continue infuencer marketing and include some paid facebook/instagram marketing. We will share our past strategies with the new owner.

Also - our suppliers have developed a stick version of our deodorant which customers have been asking for for years. We have not launched this yet, but have labels designed, and the recipe created. This is a huge opportunity to boost sales.

Lastly, if a new owner were to persue more retail opportunities, possibly through a products distributor, the business could grow exponentially.

What work have you put into the store?

We put a lot of effort in the early days doing influencer collaborations and facebook ads. SInce having our baby (and getting pregnant for that matter) we stopped putting time into the business. Not to mention all the money and time spent in R&D creating our formulas.

How many hours does it take to run this business per week?
