Business Story

Why this business was started

The actual beginning of this business was back in October 2018.

The business was named "The Captain Drake". We did over $10.000 with free traffic from Instagram only.

Since there weren't that many options to customize the website here on Shopify we decided to move the business to WooCommerce.

We did there about $1000 in sales in less than a month without even posting on our social media.

After a while, we decided to completely give up on the business, which was our huge mistake.

Thankfully, all the customers from Shopify were exported into a .csv file.

We now came up with the idea to revive the business and start all over again but with a different name.

You can check out our previous influencers from The Captain Drake on our new Instagram account (@holoradoapparel), we are posting daily.

We decided to start this business because I found that we have an Instagram account of over 100k+ followers in the travel niche so I thought, well this could be a great chance for me to transform it into clothing and a jewelry brand.

I have a team that is specialized in growing social media accounts, designers, product researchers, those who are creating the unique names for my brands and many more members, so they were all involved in this project to start the Holorado Apparel brand.

As I said earlier, I'm so passionate about building brands for other people and applying all the knowledge I have so they can run a successful brand themselves with the minimum effort.

My team and I always get some new ideas which we apply to the new stores so the future owners could easily focus on the other things.

The reason of selling this business

As I said earlier, I'm so passionate about building brands for other people and applying all the knowledge I have so they can run a successful brand themselves with the minimum effort.

I've already sold over 40 successful Shopify businesses and I already own 3 brands for myself.

The reason for selling this brand is the same as the reason for selling any other brand of mine: 1. My team and I grow it 2. We decide to sell it 3. The future owner benefits from it

The best thing about this brand is that it has over 100k followers on Instagram and the page over 3 years old, and all the sales are coming for free from Instagram. So it basically means that you will be probably getting organic sales from that page alone, as we are getting now.

Dropshipping won't last for that long, so you need to focus on starting and working on something that will last for years.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

I would focus on growing social media channels because it is so important for long-term success.

Later on, I would also focus on paid traffic as well.

I would engage with the micro-influencers and try to convince them to promote my brand in return for some great commission or rewards. I would also connect with the big influencers so I can get some great exposure from them and spread brand awareness.

There is so much I would do for this brand if I would have enough time to only manage and focus on it. But since I'm the owner of 3 more brands I can't give my 100% on this one.

I would be more than happy to share all my tips and ideas with the new owner.

    Skills to have

    Passion and dedication.

    Danko S.Current store owner
My name is Danko, I'm in e-commerce since 2017 and I have already created and sold over 40 successful Shopify stores. I do not like the short-term success. If I decide to start something, I do it for long-term success. I own 3 brands at the moment, but in my spare time, I love trying out the new things on the brand new Shopify stores. Once I create a brand and start getting some organic sales, I decide to sell that store, because for me, if it is getting sales without ads, it has a huge potential and it is already successful.
