When I was a child, we would have Sunday lunches with the family at my grandmother's house. My grandmother had a cuckoo clock and it would call when the food was ready, at lunch time. This cuckoo sound held a special place in my heart. This store was inspired by those feelings & I wanted every family to have a "home" clock in their home.

This is a dropshipping store working directly with 10 well-known clock brands, which are based in the UK, Germany, Italy, Netherlands & Japan. All brands have a UK/European presence allowing for quick delivery times in the region. They handle all fulfillment & offer support in English. The business relationship started on January 2017 & we have been working together ever since.

Cultivated business relationship directly with 10 of the top clock brands around the world including UK, Germany, Italy, Netherlands & Japan. There are still more brands out there.

This store gets traffic from Google Shopping, RLSA on search ads & Klaviyo email marketing sequences from lead magnets on website. All of which I have built and is automated. The store has had an SEO audit & has 449 backlink submissions done by a SEO expert. This store has also had a speed audit & the coding has been optimised for faster load times done by speed expert. The store also has lead generation magnets with email sequences using Klaviyo & abandoned cart email chains further improving conversion rates.

This store also has a facebook page & twitter. This store has been approached by PayPal Global Sellers & is now part of their program, PayPal handles international orders on our behalf, no extra work necessary.

How to grow this business

The store runs on paid traffic & I would start by building more content & backlinks to generate organic traffic, which would soon replace paid traffic therefore greater profit margins in the long term. Also, optimising the paid traffic campaigns already present would be an ongoing task.

I would then reach out to more brands & add their products to the website, there is only a handful of brands at the moment. Next, I would then expand into Europe, which has a huge market compared to only the UK.

The final step would be to expand to the US, which has an even bigger market. In fact, I get customers from these regions asking for clocks, even though I do not advertise there.

There is still a huge amount of work to be done on this store to reach its potential.

Skills to have

Good customer service. Knowledge of google ads would help but not necessary as campaigns are automated. Knowledge of clocks would help but not necessary as all brand contacts offer technical support in English & are very helpful.
