This started as, and has continued to be a seasonal business for me. I started this business for side income. One to two months out of the year I run ads on Facebook to sell blankets, usually during the holidays. This has created $75,000-$100,000 per year in income in only a couple of months out of the year. If the new owner puts in a years worth of effort running ads, email marketing and growing the social media following, this business could easily bring in $500,000+ per year. I haven't put in the time because I have other ventures on the side.

What's involved in running this business
This business takes very minimal effort to run. There are two main things the new owner will be doing in its current state. Responding to customer emails, and creating / maintaining facebook ads for new or existing designs. All blanket manufacturing and transaction are hands-free. When a customer orders a blanket, it is automatically sent to the manufacturer where they produce and ship the blanket to the customer along with a tracking number. All transactional email are handled through Klaviyo, which are also sent automatically.
If the new owner has plans for growth, they will want to create new designs and focus on email marketing / social media posts, which will add to their daily tasks.

How to grow this business
For future owners looking to grow the store over the next five years, I would invest your time in email marketing as well as growing the social media following. Those are two things I never focused my time on that have immense income potential. Email marketing should bring in around 30% of all business income.

Any new owner can operate this business, regardless of skills. It takes very minimal effort. You will want a basic understanding of marketing for bringing in new customers. Facebook and Google have free courses that can help with this. And of course, if the owner spends time on organic traffic sources or existing audiences, no marketing will be required.
