Description

General description

Established baby brand with social media following and brand identity.

From 2016 to now total sales over multiple platforms over $200k.

Selling a variety of premium handmade products and also some manufactured items.

This store has multiple income streams. My standalone website, Amazon, Etsy, and Pinterest. The store is set up with some drop ship items, manufactured items, and handmade items. It would be up to you if you want to continue with all or certain items. I can provide details of where to buy items and fabric to make the items.

You then scale this site even further via adwords, google, and social media. I don't pay for any advertising at all. I have never needed to because it has kept busy enough. I know people who drive a lot of traffic with ads.

What Exactly Is Included In The Sale?

-Facebook - Instagram over 20k followers - Twitter -Pinterest with over 2 million monthly viewers -Google Analytics account -Brand including pink Hudson Baby Logo -Photos on website can be used for social media and ads -Customer images -Great supplier relationships -Sources for fabric and supplies -Product Mockups (total I spent well over $2k) -Wholesale account is setup for 40 swaddles every 90 days. Also another opportunity is to gain more wholesale accounts something I have not tried yet -domain valued at $500 - wholesale catalog for swaddles (paid $500 for it) can be printed and mailed or sent via email -Mailing list at 800 subscribers (another thing that someone can build and make really great)

Why Am I Selling? My husband recently got a new job and with a 2 and 3 year old I just no longer want to work. I do not need the income anymore. I want this brand to go to a good place though, I have put a lot of work into it.

Why I am selling for this price? Shopify exchange suggested I sell this for $20k. I am only asking $15k because I want to move on from it out some money away for my girl's college funds. My website alone is worth the $15k Shopify proves that. Where the real money is at is on Etsy. Please see screenshot for stats.

I am not asking what the business is worth because some items are handmade. But being handmade means you can sell on Etsy. On Etsy alone I made over $100k (see screenshot). There is also Amazon ( $10k). Again if you choose to advertise especially on Amazon I know the sales will grow tremendously.

Will you help me set it up? I will personally help you get this store set up. I’ll be on hand by email whenever you need me for 2 whole weeks. After that I will charge for my time.

Why is there no inventory included? This is one of the best things about my business. I do not make any items or buy any items until they are purchased. So I do not have any inventory on hand. My turnaround time is currently 4 to 6 weeks. If you dedicated your time to this is could easily be 2 weeks but like I said I don't really need the income so I have a long turnaround time right now. ***most of my customers are pregnant and do not mind the turn around time at all 9 months is a long time. Again this is something you can change too. If you buy fabric or manufactured items in bulk then you can ship instantly.

Please note Amazon and Etsy do not allow shop transfers so they will have to be started over. But on Etsy I made my first sale on day two. All description copies and photos are included in the sale so it requires literally just copying and pasting.

Hiring seamstress is also easier than you think. I have numbers to a few and i you just search in your local area you will find a bunch.

Profit Margins Since I offer a wide variety of items there is a huge difference in profit margins. Manufactured items are about 40% profit margin. Below is an example of two of my top selling items that are handmade.

Minky Swaddle Cost - half yard of fabric $13.50 Misc supplies use to make item like thread, electricity etc I always add $.15 Credit card and shopify fees 4% $1.19 Shipping $2.70 poly mailer $.01 Total cost $17.55 Retail $29.99 plus $3.99 shipping Total Profit is $16.43 Total time to make 2 minutes

Crib Sheet Cost - 2 yards of fabric $34 Misc supplies use to make item like thread, electricity etc I always add $.15 Credit card and shopify fees 4% $2.19 Elastic $.65 Shipping $2.70 poly mailer $.01 Total cost $39.70 Retail $54.99 plus $3.99 shipping Total Profit is $19.28 Total time to sew 5 to 7 minutes

Why should someone buy this store?

I have made a great income for years and was able to stay home with my family with it. But my husband received a new job and I no longer need the income... Shopify says my website alone is worth almost $20k. But where the other good money is n Etsy and Amazon. See screenshot where I did over $100k in only 2 years on Etsy. The first year was slower too because I was just getting started.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Pay for advertising and utilize manufactured items more.

What work have you put into the store?

Countless hours setting it up, seo, and social media.

Time to run this business: approximately 10 hours per week

Why buy a business on Exchange

Verified listing data

The revenue and traffic data that you see on each listing is pulled directly from its Shopify account. This means that the data has been verified. Exchange reviews and monitors listings for thorough and accurate information.

Secure messaging platform

You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.

Encrypted payment capture

Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.

Take time to inspect the business

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.
