Why this business was started
Initially we wanted to experiment with a new niche as we've had very little success with other niches. It took off and we started getting consistent sales with a couple of mouse mats, and eventually decided to add console controllers that seemed to have fit well with this niche. Plus accessories are ALWAYS in demand so we figured that it was a good idea to tap into the market and get a share of the profit.
The reason of selling this business
As time went on, we lost passion for the mouse mat niche so it became very difficult to stay motivated as we had to constantly look for gaming related products & social media pages which never interested us in the first place.
I run two other Shopify stores that need more attention than this one does at the moment
What's involved in running this business
We relied heavily off of Facebook ads & Instagram branding/influencers to generate traffic & sales, we feel we could've gotten a lot more if we had focused on branding the page better, instead of relying so heavily on pure marketing. Recommend finding and adding more phone related products to the store to keep it fresh.
